Baramulla, September 15: The week-long Inter-District Provincial Level Boys’ Competition for under-14, under-17, and under-19 categories is moving along at the Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh with remarkably high energy. Young athletes from all throughout the area have shown their extraordinary skills at this renowned competition.

Today marked the start of the under 19 boys’ category at the same site after the under 14 and under 17 boys’ games were successfully completed.

The sport, which has drawn competitors from ten districts of the Kashmir region, is scheduled to come to a close tomorrow with exhilarating encounters and savage resolve on show.

Peerzad Mumtaz Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner of Revenue for Baramulla, and Jatinder Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer for Baramulla, attended the under 19 competition’s opening ceremony.

In his motivational address, Assistant Commissioner Revenue emphasised the importance of sports in everyday life and exhorted all the young athletes to constantly pursue their goals.

Before the start of the matches, all of the athletes and officials pledged to play fairly and with sportsmanlike conduct, highlighting the fundamental principles of respect, cooperation, and commitment that this tournament stands for.

Relevantly, the Inter-District Provincial Level Boys’ Competition is still a place where budding talents may flourish, where aspirations can be developed, and where good sportsmanship rules.
