Budgam's progress on many construction projects is assessed

A monthly Sectoral review meeting was conducted in Budgam on 12 July during which DC Akshay Labroo assessed the status of the different projects and programmes belonging to several line departments.

Discussions at the meeting were in-depth, covering topics like the status of all the works under the District Capex plan 2023-2024 and the beautification of the Humhama-Budgam road and the town of Budgam. Other topics included a review of the number of FHTCs added in each block as part of the Jal jeevan mission in the district over the past two months.

Status of works at chari sharief shrine, status of works at Badipora, identified during block diwas in the area, plan for initiation of works during follow up of block divas at Kandoora, and the status of work on the clock tower in Budgam were also reviewed.

The DC also reviewed the status of the telecom network in Doodhpathri and Yousmarg, the plan for digitising backlog mutations, the status of in-situ promotions of eligible employees, and the progress under recruitment of “Anganwadi sahayikas/sanginies pertaining to ICDS.”

Work on all Jal Jeevan Mission-related projects, such as the clock tower, PRIs accommodation, transit accommodation, multi-level parking, playground construction in all panchayats, and street lighting, was emphasised by the DC.

The DC has stressed the importance of keeping the Humhama – Budgam road clean and beautiful, and has ordered the EO of Municipal Committee Budgam to increase the frequency with which rubbish is picked up, clear out any old garbage, and dispose of it properly.

The DC stressed the need of agencies working together to guarantee the district’s growth and prosperity.

He sent orders to the appropriate personnel to correct whatever was holding up key projects so that they could be finished by the deadline.

Attendees included the JD Planning Rafiq Ahmad, CEO, CMO, DFO, ACD, ACP, CAO, CHO, all SDMs, Executive Engineers across all wings, Tehsildars throughout the district, BDOs in every municipality, and EOs in every municipality.
