Ganderbal, July 19: On Wednesday, a large fire started at the Government College of Physical Education in Gadoora in the Ganderbal region of central Kashmir.
The fire started in the College building’s front section and swiftly spread. When they arrived, the J&K police, the CRPF, and the fire and emergency services put out the fire. The front part of the structure was damaged in the event. However, the event did not result in any documented fatalities or injuries.
Greater Kashmir was informed by the principal of the Govt. College of Physical Education in Gadoora, Dr. Hartej Singh, that the event resulted in some structure damage. The top portion’s room sustained damage. The room was vacant, and it seems that an electrical short circuit caused the fire event, according to Dr. Hartej. An official said that inquiries into the fire’s origin had begun.
