Srinagar, September 21: Late yesterday night, burglars broke into a home in the Karfalli Mohalla neighbourhood of Srinagar’s Downtown area and stole jewels worth Rs 25 lakh.
Family members said that intruders entered into their home, destroyed the wardrobe and piggy bank, and took gold jewellery worth around Rs 25 lakh, according to the news source Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
They said that the break-in took place between 2 and 4 am and that it seemed the intruders entered via a bathroom window.
Additionally, they have complained to the police and requested quick action.
While verifying the occurrence, a police official said that a complaint has been recorded in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and that further investigation is ongoing—(KNO)
