Celebrations of Hindi Saptah were organised in Srinagar at DD Kendra

21 September in Srinagar: Doordarshan Kendra From September 14 to September 21, Srinagar held a week-long “Hindi Saptah” event to highlight the importance of the Hindi language. S.S. Chandel, DIG BSF, presided over the inaugural ceremony, which was held on September 14 in honour of National Hindi Diwas.

Numerous contests were held during the week to engage and motivate people to speak Hindi. The final award giving event was conducted on September 20 in the presence of S. Sanjeev, DDG(E)/HOO, Rabi Rasool, HOP, Sanjay Koul, AO, and Shabir Ahmed Dar, News Editor, who congratulated the competition winners.

S. Sanjeev praised the awardees and emphasised the value of using Hindi in the workplace throughout the ceremony. He emphasised the need of making Hindi the only language of government communications. This programme is in line with the government’s commitment to conserving and promoting India’s diverse linguistic heritage.

All the dignitaries and attendees who helped make Doordarshan Srinagar’s celebration of Hindi Saptah successful were thanked by P. K. Tripathi, assistant director of engineering.
