The plan to protect Congress’s top officials would be uncovered.

July 27th, Chandigarh: Tarun Chugh, the national general secretary of the BJP, promised today that everyone involved for the 1984 massacre of Sikhs will be held accountable, no matter how high up in society they are.

Chugh praised the Modi government for reinvestigating the cases of violence against the Sikhs and said that justice would be done to the families of the victims now that veteran Congress leader Jagdish Tytler had been summoned to appear in court in Delhi in connection with the alleged murder of three people and the setting of fire to a gurudwara.

He said that the Gandhi family, headed by Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, had been working hard to defend the Congress officials accused of involvement in the anti-Sikh riots, and that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had now joined the Congress in doing the same.

Chugh said that the Congress would never be forgiven for its role in the anti-Sikh riots, which were the worst chapter in Indian democracy.
