Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign kicks out in Solina
Srinagar, August 9: Commissioner Secretary of Industries and Commerce Vikramjit Singh today emphasised the need of adapting to new circumstances by calling for the revitalization of the J&K Handloom & Handicrafts Corporation.
His remarks came when J&K Handloom & Handicrafts Corporation officially launched their “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign in Solina.
In his address, Commissioner Secretary Vikramjit Singh shared his enthusiasm for the commencement of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign in celebration of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
He said the J&K Handloom & Handicrafts Corporation has tremendous resurgence potential if it can go with the times. He pushed for an approach change that would boost the company’s bottom line, stressing the need of flexibility.
Commissioner Secretary insisted that “with the evolving times, every entity must evolve to be self-sustaining,” and he called on the company’s staff and the Managing Director to work together to revitalise the organisation.
A tree-planting event was held on the Poshish Showroom grounds, and Commissioner Secretary was there to help out.
He also announced the launch of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign and unfurled the national flag during the event.
In addition to seeing the facilities at the Wool and Woollen Design Development Centre, he also spoke with the sales team at the Poshish showroom and looked around the product development area.
Commissioner Secretary Vikramjit Singh toured the Wool & Woollen Design Development Centre Phase-II, showcasing the center’s dedication to revitalization.
There were also other concerned and essential players present, such as the Director of Industries and Commerce and the Managing Director of the J&K Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation.
