Besides writing, travelling, and writing poetry, Dr. Bilal has a deep interest in alternative medicine. Organisers claim he is one of just a handful of people worldwide who can accurately diagnose ailments only by looking at a patient’s face.

Dr. Bilal honoured Hakim Ajmal Khan, an Indian activist who championed the use of Greek Ayurvedic remedies for holistic therapy under the British Raj.

Jamia Millia University was established by Hakim Ajmal Khan, who also founded the Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbi College in Delhi’s Qarol Bagh neighbourhood.

He had many facets to his personality, including his skill at facial analysis, his talent as a poet, and his commitment to the fight for freedom. Dr. Bilal said that he planned to follow in Hakim Ajmal Khan’s footsteps.

Dr. Bilal has stated that even though he now resides in Canada, he would never forget his Kashmiri heritage.

Dr. Bilal stated he does not have any intentions to return to Kashmir at this time to give his services there. “I am determined to address issues related to addiction, depression, and infertility in the region,” he said.
