Twenty-five students from Jammu and Kashmir’s tribal clans were honoured on September 2 in Srinagar for their admission to the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Account Services.

Awards were also given to young people who benefited from different government programmes, as well as those who had been chosen to work for the Central Government.

Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Secretary of the Tribal Affairs Department and CEO of Mission Youth, was the event’s main guest and spoke to the invited participants. Mushir Ahmed Mirza, Director of TAD; Mukhtar Ahmed Choudhary, Secretary of the Advisory Board; Ashok Kumar Thukaan, FA/CAO; Shama un Ahmed, Jt. Director of Planning; and other high-ranking department officials also attended the event. Dr. Abdul Khabir, TRI’s Deputy Director, presided over the event.

Fifteen young members of the tribal community who sat for the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Civil Services Examination and were successful in doing so were honoured by the department. Students from different dormitories were invited, and the chosen ones spoke to them about their educational experiences and the paths they may choose in the future. Hostel students and young people from tribal communities who had made it into the CRPF or the ITBP were also acknowledged for their achievements. The event also included the presentation of certificates and award letters to the Law-20 program’s chosen students who would get training for the Judicial Services Examination.
