In addition to the depositors of the four cooperative societies of the Sahara Group, Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Cooperation B L Verma, Justice R. Subhash Reddy, a former Supreme Court judge, and Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation Gyanesh Kumar were present at the event.

Amit Shah said in his speech that this initiative is crucial since the worries of those whose hard-earned money is trapped in these four cooperative societies were not taken into consideration.

“In such cases, generally multi-agency seizure often happens but no agency thinks about the investor,” he said.

He continued by saying that this results in a strong sense of uneasiness and distrust for cooperative organizations. According to Shah, there is no other way for the millions of citizens of the nation who lack money to contribute to its growth but via cooperative movements.

He said, “In this regard, Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to establish a distinct Ministry of Cooperation.

According to him, the co-operative movement is the only one in which large projects can be accomplished by pooling little resources to produce large capital.
