He commended all DCs for their diligent efforts to keep their districts clean, particularly the rural areas, which now seem to be cleaner than before. However, in order to realise the goal of Swacch J&K, holes must be found and filled.

The Chief Secretary urged the officials to review and be ready for the implementation of the programme planned for the “Swachhta hi Sewa” campaign in 2023. He urged the Deputy Commissioners to inform the sectoral officials of their responsibilities and what has to be done.

Dr. Mehta emphasised how important it is to prioritise cleanliness in metropolitan areas and popular tourism spots since they represent the UT to the public. He urged us to take all necessary steps to make sure that our cities and villages are hygienically and visually clean.
