CUK gathers data on the Gujjar people’s economic situation

On July 26th, researchers from the Economics Department at Central University of Kashmir (CUK) conducted a one-day survey titled “Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam programme: Economic and Educational Status of Gujjar Bakerwal Community” in the town of Ganderbal. They went to the hamlet of “Chont Wali War” in Laar, Ganderbal, and spoke to the locals there.

Prof. M. Afzal Zargar, dean of the School of Social Science and registrar, formally sent off the Green Campus group by urging them to engage fully and deeply with the community. Faculty members oversaw the whole survey process.
