Nearly a thousand pious Muslims gather at the esteemed seminary, Darul Uloom Raheemiya, Bandipora, during the holy month of Ramadan for Itikaaf, a time of devotional contemplation and prayer.
Muslims engage in itikaaf, a spiritual observance, during the last 10 days of Ramadan. Seeking a closer relationship with Allah, participants refrain from engaging in worldly pursuits and divert their attention to worship, recitation of the Quran, and acts of remembrance and prayer.

The seminary’s administration reported to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that around a thousand people, including youths and seniors from all across the valley, are participating in Itikaaf this Ramadan. Every day, the seminary provides around 250 food plates (Traamis) for both the Sehri (pre-dawn meal) and the Iftaar (breaking of fast).
Every day, many residents gather for prayers and a magnificent Iftaar, in addition to the Itikaaf performers.
Notably, more than 600 men observed Itikaaf at this Islamic institution during Ramadan. The seminary has grown in popularity over the years, drawing visitors from all throughout the valley and beyond.
