Jammu, Aug. 28: On Monday, dengue cases in Jammu reached their highest daily peak. Today, 30 instances of dengue were recorded, and 22 infected people are being treated at various hospitals.

At least 30 new dengue cases have been reported in Jammu, Rajouri, Samba, and Kathua, and 22 dengue-infected patients are being treated in various government facilities, including three in Gandhi Nagar and six at Jammu’s Government Medical College and Hospital.

According to the authorities, 30 out of the 191 dengue samples proved positive for the disease, comprising six children and 24 adults, including 16 women and 8 men. According to the official, 23 of these dengue cases originated from Jammu’s populous regions alone, five from Rajouri, and one each from Samba and Kathua districts.

42 patients in all were admitted to the GMCH Jammu. Of these 42 dengue patients, 32 were released after receiving effective treatment, and nine are still receiving care. One fatality has been recorded so far in Jammu, according to the authorities who provided the statistics.

There were 4871 tests in all, and 258 of them revealed dengue infection. At least 90 individuals with severe dengue infections were hospitalised to the hospital, and 66 of them were eventually released. 22 dengue patients are being treated at several Jammu hospitals, and one LAMA (dengue) was found in one of the institutions.

11 dengue patients have been hospitalised to Govt Gandhi Nagar Hospital; eight have been released, and three are still receiving care.
