Jammu’s new secretary is Goyal, while S. D. Vaidya will be keeping an eye on Srinagar.
On Thursday, the administration of Jammu appointed new administrative secretaries to oversee district-level development projects and other administrative duties.
All prior government orders on the issue have been superseded by the GAD order, which made the nominations.
Jammu district will have Raj Kumar Goyal, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Home Department, while Reasi district will have Shaleen Kabra, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department.
Rajouri’s in-charge secretary is Ashok Kumar Parmar, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, ARI & Trainings Department, while Budgam’s in-charge secretary is Dheeraj Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Department of Forest, Ecology, & Environment.
Both Shailendra Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, PW(R&B) Department/Agriculture Department, and Prashant Goyal, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Housing & Urban Development Department, have been nominated to serve as the in-charge secretaries for the Pulwama and Anantnag districts, respectively.
Doda will be overseen by H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department, while Srinagar would be under the supervision of Santosh Dattatreya Vaidya, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department.
The administration of the Samba district has been assigned to Alok Kumar, IRS, District Principal Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department/School Education Department/Estates Department, while the administration of the Ramban district will be overseen by Sanjeev Verma, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.
Poonch’s in-charge secretary is Mandeep Kaur, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, while Kathua’s in-charge secretary is Prerna Puri, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Information Technology Department.
Ganderbal district will be overseen by Sheetal Nanda, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department, while Udhampur district will be managed by Yasha Mudgul, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Cooperatives Department.
Bandipore will be overseen by Sarmad Hafeez, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Youth, Services, and Sports Department, and Shopian’s development works will be overseen by Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Tribal Affairs Department.
The district of Baramulla has been assigned to Dr. Raghav Langer, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, while the district of Kishtwar has been assigned to Bhupinder Kumar, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department.
Kulgam’s in-charge secretary will be Dr. Piyush Singla, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, while Kupwara’s will be Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department/Culture Department.
