SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 25: In a meeting held here, the Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) for Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, reviewed the operation of the departments of health, food, civil supplies, and consumer affairs, as well as school education, with regard to ongoing major projects, upcoming projects, deliverables, and the implementation of UT and Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

Directors and other senior personnel from the relevant departments attended the sessions.

Beginning with a thorough presentation, the Director of Health provided an overview of the department’s structure, hierarchy of health institutions, personnel size, and significant projects and schemes.

At the time, Div Com gave the Director of Health the order to finish enrolling all households and people in the Ayushman Bharat Golden Card programme.

To close the gap between the number of positions that need to be filled and the number of available people, he placed emphasis on the establishment of a centralised recruiting cell for hiring medical and paramedical personnel.

Div Com advised concerned to maintain adequate watch in the area of the facilities in order to provide a failsafe setup at Addiction Treatment Facility centres across the valley.

He requested that the Director assist AMTRON’s medical project for the “5G Health Use Application” in Kupwara and Baramulla. He gave the order to make the necessary preparations for the winter so that the valley, especially in remote regions, would have access to medical care and supplies.

The introduction of the Smart Ration Card, OTP-based ration distribution, delivery of rations to legitimate recipients, and the removal of duplicate cards were all discussed by Director FCS&CA.

A total of 54 lakh people, or 13.5 lakh ration card holders, were disclosed.

Along with the chain of distribution linking FCI to FCS&CA godowns and distribution shops, he also provided information on the building of weighing bridges and the renovation of godowns.

The National Food Security Act, PMFSS, One Nation, One Card, Integrated Child Development Scheme, and Scheme for Political Migrants were all covered in his briefing.

Regarding winter readiness, Div Com instructed the FCS&CA officer to make sure that an abundance of necessary things were deposited in snowbound locations and other places that are shut off throughout the winter.

The director of school education provided information on Kashmir’s literacy rate as well as the proportion of 10th- and 12th-graders who passed their exams. He also provided information on the strategy for raising female literacy rates.

He said that the department has a strategy in place to register all out-of-school children in schools in order to establish a society that is properly educated.

The director briefed the audience on the important initiatives, such as the Migratory Tribal Schools, as well as the deliverables, such as Beti Anmol, Model Schools, and the Annual Online Transfer Policy.
