Dr. Farooq Abdullah, accompanied by party officials, said the Fatiha prayers and prayed for peace for the senior leader’s departed soul in the highest regions of Jannat.

In recalling the late Aga’s role in public life, Dr. Farooq said, “People adored and deeply loved him.” Despite his passing, his legacy endures because of his contributions to scholarship, political acumen, and the sheer volume of excellent work he did for the public good. I ask the All-Powerful to raise his stations in Jannat.

He said that he had spent a few days with the seasoned commander in Jammu before the tragic explosion that claimed his life. “As usual, the majority of our conversation was centered on putting an end to conflict in the area. His obvious care for the happenings in the area was evident to me. He consistently emphasized this idea of a fair and equal society that day as well. Such a courageous leader was taken from us much too soon by the ill-luck of our territory. In the next few days and years, I hope and pray that his deserving son, Aga Ruhullah Sahib, achieves his ambitions,” he said.
