17 AUGUST, SRINAGAR: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has taken further action against motorcyclists who violate the Motor Vehicles Act (MVA) by suspending the licences of 24 individuals for failing to wear helmets while riding.
Despite the department’s best efforts, some people still choose not to follow the safety regulations and risk their lives and the lives of others by not wearing helmets when riding two-wheelers, according to a statement issued here.
The RTO in Kashmir has made it plain that they are serious about preventing accidents on the roads and would not stand for carelessness.
Helmet use is required by law for anybody operating a motorcycle or moped. Disobeying this regulation is not only illegal, but also dangerous for the driver and other road users.
The RTO in Kashmir has issued a strong call to action to all motorcyclists, insisting that they put their own safety first by always wearing helmets.
