The event’s keynote speaker, Yasha Mudgal, Commissioner Secretary, Cooperative, provided participants with valuable information on the tourist attractions in the Indian province of Jammu and Kashmir. She emphasised the role that cooperatives play in the expansion and improvement of the national economy. She also emphasised the need for new ideas and studies to launch profitable tourist businesses. She also suggested that the institution take students on field trips to other states. In addition, she offered suggestions for popularising locally produced goods as souvenirs. She stressed the need to maintain a worldview while the university’s policies are developed. She also spoke highly of rural tourism and adventure travel.

In the first of two parts, on September 26th, students of MBA (Tourism and Travel Management) were taken on a village immersion education tour to Pancheri, the first homestay village of J&K. There, they were able to learn about and participate in the culture and customs of rural villages. As a prelude to the major event, this in-depth trip provided important insights into the essence of India’s rich culture.
