The New Delhi (Anand Vihar) Kamakhya Dham North East Superfast train derailed between Buxar and Raghunathpur in the state of Bihar on October 12th, according to information obtained by the Indian News Service (IANS). It is believed that at least four people have been killed and over one hundred others have been wounded.The occurrence took place late on Wednesday evening.

According to the Chief Public Relations Officer for East Central Railway (ECR), who spoke with IANS, “Four people have died and 21 coaches of the train derailed near the Raghunathpur Railway station yard on Wednesday night.”According to the official from the railway company, more than one hundred people were hurt and sent to various hospitals in the cities of Buxar, Arrah, Patna, and Dumraon.The district magistrate of Buxar, Anshul Agrawal, has verified the passengers’ deaths. The accident occurred at around 9:53 o’clock in the evening.

Wednesday of the week.Villagers from the surrounding area were the first people to attend to the disaster, and along with officials from the district administrations of Buxar and Bhojpur, they launched the rescue mission.

The issue is now being looked into by the railway administration. According to the findings of the preliminary examination, the railway track was discovered to be fractured in multiple locations. The North East Express was experiencing a delay in Buxar, and the next stop on its route was Arrah.When the accident occurred, the train was reportedly travelling between 80 and 90 kilometres per hour, according to the sources.

At the time when the train arrived at the Raghunathpur railway station, it was involved in an accident.As a result of the accident, the Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnav, has initiated the activation of the war room for the rescue effort.The NDRF, SDRP, Railway, and administrative personnel from the district have all been instructed to assist in the rescue effort. At least seventy kilometres lie between the scene of the tragedy and the state capital of Patna.
