New Delhi, December 25: Not only are Congress Cadres in J&K extremely happy about Shri G.A. Mir’s appointment as AICC General Secretary, but so are all those who uphold the party’s ideology, sacrifices, and selfless services, in addition to the enormous contributions Congress has made to the development of the nation.
Congress supporters, who value “Mir’s” organizational abilities and the manner in which he managed party matters in J&K and throughout the nation, were also pleased with the news.
G.A. Mir is a man of great dedication and conviction for the Congress Party. He has worked tirelessly to make the party vibrant not only in J&K but also abroad. From booth-level laborer to national political figure, Mir has been assigned to reform the organization on occasion, which he accomplished to the best of his abilities and to the satisfaction of the Party High Command.
From booth level to block level, district level to Pradesh, district level to AICC observer of WB/Odisha and Member CWC, and ultimately to the most important organizational position as General Secretary AICC, Mir never wavered from his principle-based and transparent politics during all these years of struggle. The party High Command occasionally expressed appreciation for this, and as a result, he was rewarded with this significant organizational assignment (AICC GS).
In addition to winning many assembly elections and serving as J&K’s Cabinet Minister on numerous occasions, Mir demonstrated his ability to restructure the departments he occupied and the organization as a whole. In addition, Mir never discriminated in allocating tasks to party leaders throughout his seven and a half years as JKPCC Chief. His performance and organizational abilities raised the spirits of the party cadres and inspired them to give Congress their all. As part of public engagement programs, he made every effort to visit every household in J&K, making sure the Congress was seen in every corner of the state.
In addition to his many other outstanding services, Mir enthusiastically participated in rescue and relief efforts during the 2005 powerful earthquake that entirely destroyed the Border Belt of Karnah and other isolated regions of J&K. He made sure that everyone who was impacted, especially the families of Karnah, which is located at IB, received help.
Even though G.A. Mir was sometimes the target of political intrigues, he never wavered in his political beliefs, and every congressman is aware of his unflinching devotion to the Congress philosophy. He has the ability to strengthen the party in any situation since he is a true organizational guy.
