Srinagar, September 9: The 2nd Core Group meeting of the Nageen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO) was held today at Kashmir Mahal Resorts in Nishat. This was a big step towards saving and restoring the famous Gilsar and Khushalsar lakes.
Er. Ajaz Rasool, a well-known water expert and Advisor to NLCO, came up with the idea for the general plan, and the members talked about it in detail in order to make sure it was finalised.
Er. Ajaz Rasool, who was in charge of the meeting, gave a thorough outline of the overall plan. He talked about the important steps that need to be taken to protect Gilsar and Khushalsar and bring them back to their natural state. These natural marshes are very valuable from the point of view of their wise use in the urban area of Srinagar City.
