Srinagar, 7 Sept. The Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (formerly LAWDA) held a Grievance Redressal Camp on Thursday. Officers from the department’s several branches gave stakeholders assurances that their requests will be met within a certain time frame.

The department’s officials from the Mechanical Wing had summoned a number of residents from the outskirts of Dal and Nigeen, and they had carefully heard their requests. The residents of Dal who had been moved to Rakh-e-Arth by the government years earlier raised their legitimate complaints, including difficulties with walkable road connection, appropriate water and electricity, and others, and requested higher authorities’ action for their prompt resolution.

Participants were given the assurance by the officials present in the camp that their requests would be discussed with the relevant offices and would be satisfied in a timely manner.

The camp took place at Dockyard (LCMA’s Mechanical Division), which is located on Foreshore Road in Srinagar. It was organised as part of Bharstachar Mukt J&K Week, which began on September 4 and will end on September 10, 2023. The camp’s goal was to address people’s complaints directly, and many complaints were settled right away. The attendees were given the assurance that their unresolved complaints will be resolved as soon as feasible.

In addition to all AEEs, JEs, and other authorities, the following officers were present to address the complaints: Manzoor Ali, Exen Lake Div 2nd; Shakil Fazili, Exen Mechanical; Mueed Ahmad, Exen Lake Div 1st; and Ghazala Abdullah, Project Officer Watershed Division.

The purpose of the camp was to raise public awareness of the need for complete openness in workplace culture and zero tolerance for corruption in offices, both of which would aid in the greater development of our country.
