Baramulla, September 3: Today, the final game of the Hotelier’s Premier League (HPL) T20, Session 17 cricket tournament, which was organised by locals in Sopore and featured Lala 11 Sopore and Seer Sports, was played at Habba Sahib Sports Ground in Hathlangoo Zaingair.

Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, served as the event’s chief guest. As the ceremony’s special guests, Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore, Shabir Nawab, Fayaz Ahmad Malik, and other dignitaries attended.

Relevantly, the competition was attended by 32 teams bravely and with great enthusiasm from various parts of the District.

The Secretary Sports Council thanked both teams for participating in the decisive round at the time and congratulated the victorious squad. Additionally, she gave awards to the winning and runner-up teams. Both teams received trophies as well as monetary prizes totaling $40,000 and $20,000, respectively. Additionally, the winner of the Man of the Series award received Rs. 5000 in cash.

Speaking at the event, the main guest said that every effort is being made to provide children a platform and mentor them as they pursue their dreams, adding that only sports can keep young away from drugs.
