J&K CCE sets deadline for PSP certificates | HC rules to hold job in JKAS

Srinagar, November 21: On November 29, 2023, the Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, J&K, and the Director, School Education Department, Jammu, are to appear before the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, sitting in Jammu, to explain why contempt proceedings should not be brought against them.

The ruling of December 18, 2009, has not been followed up on, according to Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul’s order, which indicates that the respondents are willfully delaying its execution and have so committed contempt of court.

The respondents No. 1 and 2, namely Sh. Ashok Kumar Sharma (JKAS), Director, School Education Department, Jammu, and Sh. Alok Kumar (IRS), Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department, J&K, shall thus continue to be present on the following date of hearing in order to provide an explanation for why no legal action will be taken against them.

“The aforementioned respondents are not required to attend on the next day of hearing if the decision is carried out in letter and spirit by or before that date. The order continues, “List on 29.11.2023.” GNSS
