19 July, Srinagar: A landslide and mud buildup at Cafeteria Mod on the outskirts of Ramban town caused vehicular traffic along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway to come to a complete stop this morning, according to authorities.
Around five in the morning, a sizable piece of a hillside next to Cafeteria Mod fell way, causing a deluge of rocks, debris, and muck to fall into the highway.

An official said that actions to remove the debris and restore traffic were taken right away. Excavators and bulldozers were used to clear the mud and rocks off the roadway that had obstructed both lanes.
