Jammu: On Friday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha referred to the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a gleaming representation of might.
According to a statement released by an official spokeswoman, the LG remarked, “The IAF is a glowing symbol of strength, bravery, and dedication” while visiting the air display and air awareness campaign at Air Force Station, Satwari. I salute the members of the IAF for their outstanding bravery and selfless attitude. I want to express my sincere thanks to the families and airmen.
The celebration of the Air Force Station, Jammu’s diamond jubilee and the 76th anniversary of J&K’s entry into the Indian Union was staged jointly by the IAF and the J&K administration.
According to an official spokeswoman, the first-of-its-kind air show in Jammu educated the public about the risks associated with flying and how they might contribute to aviation safety.
To commemorate the event, the LG later presented awards to the military personnel as well as the participants in the aerobatic and skydiving teams.
Air Vice Marshal P K Vohra, AOC J&K and Ladakh; Air Commodore S S Rawat, AOC, Air Force Station, Jammu; Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to LG; Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary; and B R Sharma, State Election Commissioner (SEC) J&K, were also present. Bharat Bhushan, chairman of the District Development Council (DDC) in Jammu, was also present.
