On September 9, the police in Awantipora arranged a demonstration to raise awareness about drug usage.
Students, faculty, and local dignitaries from Mantaqi Memorial Higher Secondary School in Awantipora joined the event.
SDPO Awantipora signalled the beginning of the awareness rally. The demonstration concluded close to Kharmode Awantipora after travelling through many roads in Sub-division Awantipora.
The rally’s major objective was to raise awareness of the negative effects of drug misuse and its repercussions. On this occasion, SDPO Awantipora urged the populace to work with the police to combat drug and other substance addiction in order to eradicate this social ill from society. The participants yelled shouts against social evil and held banners and posters with anti-drug misuse messages in their hands. They also committed to work together to eliminate this threat from society.
