In Handwara Village, a little boy was killed by a leopard

Srinagar, September 18: This morning, in the Rajwar neighbourhood of Handwara in the Kupwara district of north Kashmir, a 3-year-old kid was murdered by a leopard assault.

According to reports that reached GNS, a leopard pounced on Burhan Ahmad, a son of Mohammad Kamal Mir of Marchwali Nichhama, outside his house this morning.

When the family and townspeople followed the beast after dragging the child a distance, the youngster suffered grave injuries.

The youngster was sent to a neighbouring hospital in Behnipora, where he soon passed away.

The residents have urged the government to take the appropriate steps to prevent any other accidents after a number of these have recently been reported from the region. (GNS)
