Vehicle traffic on the Srinagar-Bandipora-Ganderbal route would continue to be impacted from 16:00 to 19:00.

Ganderbal, 30 July: The traffic police in rural Kashmir have issued a warning due to the departure of the Muharram 12 processions.

According to an advisory from Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural, Ravinder Pal Singh, “Vehicular traffic along Srinagar-Bandipora-Ganderbal road shall remain affected from 16.00 hours to 19.00 hours on July 31, 2023 from Sarai Dangarpora up to Shadipora Sumbal in view of 12th Muharram processions as such Motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary movement along said road during the procession period.”

Furthermore, it said that throughout the procession from Dangarpora to Shadipora, all types of vehicle traffic must come to a complete stop at key locations. In order to facilitate the flow of vehicles along the approved procession route, vehicular traffic must be redirected through other routes.

The traffic police has requested that commuters heed the warning in order to prevent any disruption.
