His mission was to evaluate the safety procedures in place for the yearly Amarnath Yatra and provide recommendations for improvement.

To ensure a safe and orderly yatra, the police met for a detailed briefing to review the existing situation and plan for additional security measures.

The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Kashmir personally reviewed the ground troops’ deployment and directed them to improve their coordination and combined efforts to ensure a trouble-free Yatra.

While there, Vijay Kumar and the accompanying officers saw a simulated exercise designed to test the security forces’ readiness to respond to any unanticipated incidents, like as attacks by militants, that may occur during the trip. The exercise tested reaction times, crowd control, and egress strategies.

The ADGP conducted a manual test of the JPCR and the Drone Control Centre. Later, all the commanders met with the jawans and other ground troops stationed at various naka points. Aside from that, the ADGP ordered the SSP of Anantnag to crack down on OGWs and to regularly perform CASOs with SFs in high-risk regions along yatra routes.

Security measures for the Amarnath Yatra were deemed satisfactory by the Additional Director General of Police in Kashmir. Specifically, he thanked the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Jammu and Kashmir Police for their work in keeping the calm and protecting the pilgrims.

He also stressed the necessity of ensuring the security of all pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra. The yatra is very important religiously, since it is a journey to the sacred Amarnath Cave in the beautiful Himalayas.

The Additional Director General of Police in Kashmir lauded the efforts of all parties engaged in the pilgrimage preparations. This included thanks to those in charge of infrastructure upkeep, medical services, and other vital support systems.
