Srinagar, August 17: According to reports, a little girl was taken to the hospital after a self-proclaimed godman forced her to consume a cigarette at a market in the Pulwama region of south Kashmir.
They revealed to GNS that a Singu Narbal girl (name withheld) was hospitalised after collapsing. The mother of the child claims that a “self-styled godman” at Newa Market forced her daughter to smoke a cigarette.
“She is being treated at District Hospital Pulwama,” they stated.
According to a police officer who spoke with GNS, the accused is known as “Peer Baba” in the area because of his reputation as a tailor and the fact that he is the son of the late Ghulam Ahmad Telie, a native of Zadoora.
We have filed charges under the appropriate statutes against the accused, the source said. (GNS)
