August 8th, Srinagar: Two young guys have been arrested by police in Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, on charges of making sexually explicit remarks to female victims.

An officer with the police department said that two Natipora locals, Saif Ullah S/o Shameem Khushu and Rakib Hafiz S/o Ajaz Hafiz, were arrested for being “eve-teasers” after “some girls” filed a complaint against them.

The officer said, “…they were detained/bound down under sections of CrPC,” and that their car had been taken as well.

On the Bemina-Batmaloo route, “some girls anonymously reported them passing lewd comments,” the officer said.
