The Army intends for the vessels to be able to enter and exit water bodies without the need for a jetty to be there. According to the authorities, the organisation is also going through with a proposal to purchase six rapid patrol boats as part of the Make in India in Defence project.

In the meantime, the Indian Army is making preparations to launch a discussion forum that will be known as the Chanakya Defence Dialogue.

According to the information provided by our sources, the opening ceremony of the event will take place on either October 25 or 26, and Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande will most likely give a presentation at this time.

It is currently anticipated that the first installment of the conversation series will be released around the first or second week of November.

Officials have said that it would be a recurring event with the objective of bringing together the most brilliant minds from the global military and strategic arena under one roof. This will create a nexus where ideas will be generated and philosophies will be intertwined.

For the purpose of organising and running this event, the Army is working closely with a renowned research institute known as the Centre for Land and Warfare Studies (CLAWS).

It will be a gathering of individuals from a wide variety of countries, including those from the United States of America, Australia, France, and Japan.

It will be a meeting of distinguished speakers, military strategists, diplomats, and leading intellectuals from the areas of defence and strategic affairs, and it will take place over the course of two days. It will discuss a broad variety of issues pertaining to security, including possible solutions, in the two very important areas of South Asia and the Indo-Pacific.

Reflecting on topics such as neighbourhood forces, the pivotal Indo-Pacific boundary, and the perceptible influence of new technologies on defence and security, this will be a pioneering attempt by the Indian Army to combine knowledge, strategy, and competence. This will be an important step for the Indian Army. (ANI)
