Aqsa, who is studying a B.Sc. at Government Degree College (GDC) Tral, told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that her father taught her mandala painting.

She stated, “I used to make paintings for a long time, but started making mandala art pieces last year.” She has been fascinated in art since infancy.

I succeeded in this creative sector through improvising, Aqsa stated. “When I made Pheran, Kangri, and Samovar in mandala art, I applied for the Indian Book of Records and was verified by the team. Alhamdulillah, I got confirmation of entry and their appreciation,” she added.

Aqsa said this “small step” has given her “utmost satisfaction” in promoting Kashmir and its culture worldwide.

In her parents’ unwavering support, Aqsa added, “They encourage me in this art as well as education.”

She advises: “Be consistent in any field you want to conquer and never lose hope.” Follow your passion with hard work and perseverance; you will succeed.”—(KNO)
