An infiltrator was apprehended by police in the Balakote region of Poonch’s Mendhar sub division while attempting to cross the Line of Control on 9 August. A charge has been filed against him.
Three days ago, army and police saw the 21-year-old infiltrator making his way over the Line of Control and arrested him.
The individual was interrogated by a combined force from the military, the police, and the intelligence community.
A complaint has been filed under relevant parts of law including EIMCO, UAPA against the accused at Mendhar police station, according to officials. The young guy has been put in the police lockup and is now in police custody.
Police are conducting an investigation and filing legal actions, according to officials.
Abdul Wahab, originally from Afghanistan but most recently residing in Pakistan, has been positively recognised.
