Because there is only one lane of traffic going via Magerkot, there is severe congestion between Ramban and Banihal at the moment. It is important for commuters to stay in their lane.
Before setting off on NH-44, one must first adhere to discipline and check in with TCU.

NH-44, also known as the Jammu-to-Srinagar National Highway, connects Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa.

SFs Convoy Movement: Subject to fine weather and acceptable road conditions, security force vehicles should be permitted from both sides on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44), viz. Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa. This includes movement from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa.

The SSG Road
Movement of vehicles along the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari route would be permitted from both directions, that is, from Srinagar in the direction of Kargil and vice versa, provided that the weather is favourable and the road is in excellent condition. Between the hours of 7:30 and 1100, only LMVs, followed by HMVs, will be permitted to travel from Minamarg in the direction of Srinagar.
In the same fashion, light motor vehicles that are followed by heavy motor vehicles will be permitted to go from Sonamarg towards Kargil between the hours of 1300 and 1700. After the designated cutoff times, no vehicle of any kind will be permitted.
The Special Forces Convoy that travels from Srinagar to Kargil is scheduled to depart from Srinagar at 08:00 local time.
The SFs Convoy that is travelling from Drass to Srinagar is required to organise its route in such a way that there will be no disruptions to the flow of civil traffic.
Mughal Road: Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicle travel on Mughal Road shall be permitted from both sides, viz., Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. Mughal Road: subject to fair weather and good road conditions. Mughal Road: subject to fair weather and good road conditions. These motor vehicles are permitted to travel between Behramgalla (Buffliaz) and Herpora (Shopian) between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00. After the time limit has been reached, no vehicles will be admitted.
