LMVs, HMVs, and load carriers
Subject to favourable weather and improved road conditions, LMVs, assenger/private cars, HMVs, and load carriers will be permitted on both sides of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa. Lane discipline is suggested for commuters.
Convoy Movement of SFs
Security Forces vehicles will be permitted on both sides of the Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa, subject to fine weather and excellent road conditions.
The SSG Road
Vehicle travel on the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari route would be permitted from both sides, namely Srinagar towards Kargil and vice versa, subject to favourable weather and excellent road conditions. LMVs followed by HMVs will be permitted from Minamarg to Srinagar between 0730 and 1100 hours. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVs will be permitted from Sonamarg to Kargil between 1300 and 1700 hours. After the cut-off times, no vehicle shall be permitted.
The SFs Convoy from Srinagar to Kargil will depart at 8:00 a.m. Convoys travelling from Drass to Srinagar must select their routes so that civil traffic is not disrupted.
Mughal Highway
Vehicle traffic on the Mughal route would be permitted from both sides, namely Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa, subject to fine weather and excellent road conditions. These vehicles will be permitted between Behramgalla (Buffliaz) and Herpora (Shopian) from 0600 hrs. to 1800 hrs. No vehicle shall be permitted after the times have been cut.
