HMV/Load Carriers: Commuters are reminded to maintain lane discipline.
After evaluating the road and traffic conditions on NH-44, heavy vehicles (HMVs) will be permitted to travel between Jakheni (Udhampur) and Srinagar beginning at 1800 hours on October 21, 2023, if the weather and roads cooperate. Before releasing the HMVs, TCU Udhampur will coordinate with TCU Ramban. However, no heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) will go from Qazigund to Jammu.
Movement of the SFs’ Convoy:
In light of the potential for traffic congestion on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW due to the small carriageway between Nashri and Banihal, the security forces are advised or requested not to ply against the advisory traffic plan. After verifying the status of NHW with TCU Ramban, they may begin plying from Jammu in the direction of Srinagar tomorrow.
