At after 11:30 p.m. last night, security forces engaged in their first major skirmish, prompting the deployment of drones and other night monitoring equipment. According to the Indian Army, “a heavy exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists resumed at dawn today.”
It is believed that the terrorists who were killed in the operation were international terrorists, and efforts are being made to determine their nationalities.
