Monday, September 15 (GNS): On Friday, the weatherman predicted that Jammu and Kashmir will have another week of “hot and dry” weather.
A meteorological department official said that scattered areas of J&K had mild to moderate rain and thunderstorm activity.
“Except brief spell of morning rain, weather is very likely to remain hot and dry in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours,” the official told GNS, adding that “day temperature was likely to remain 1-2°C lower than yesterday.”
He stated that although it would be mostly hot and dry from September 16-22, short spells of rain in isolated to scattered spots in J&K cannot be ruled out.
There is no substantial rainfall expected in J&K for at least a week since there is no strong Western Disturbance or Monsoon Current.(GNS)
