JKAS officer designated as GAD complaint officer for the purpose of defending the rights of transgender people

Jammu, 6 October: The government on Friday designated a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) as the department’s “Complaint Officer.”

According to an order made by GAD Commissioner Secretary Sanjeev Verma, “Irfan Manzoor, JI(AS), Under Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, is hereby appointed as “Complaint Officer” in the General Administration Department” in accordance with Section 11 of “The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act 2019”.
