Kashmir BJP officials are mulling on a possible “mass exodus” of party regulars

Many officials, including some notable names, are reportedly contemplating resigning from the basic membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which would be a devastating blow to the party’s standing in the Kashmir Valley.

They claim that this new turn of events follows a pivotal meeting that took place a few days ago at a hotel in Srinagar.

Leaders are “actively considering” a departure from the party’s cadre, and an announcement may come at any moment, the source added.

Leaders “may join other parties or form their own parties,” thus “an alliance on the lines of INDIA, formed by parties on the national level is expected,” they stated.

Ravinder Raina, president of the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir, is likely to miss today’s party meeting.
