In an encounter in Anantnag, terrorists killed three senior security officers, including an Army colonel and a major. Tarun Chugh, the BJP’s national general secretary and the party’s J&K coordinator, strongly condemned the killings and warned that “the killers of our valiant officers will not go unpunished.”

Chugh praised Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of the 19 RR, Major Aashish Dhonchak, and DySP Humayun Bhat, son of former DIG Kashmir Ghulam Hassan Bhat, and said it was a desperate move by terrorists who are feeling pressured by the security forces.

He said that the terrorists’ heinous deed will only increase the security forces’ resolve to decisively thwart their plans. Killers “won’t go unpunished,” and the sacrifice of our brave military troops is “unforgettable.”

Chugh said that Pakistan is doing all it can to disrupt the tranquilly in Jammu and Kashmir and is using its nefarious methods to harm the J&K population every day.

He denounced the murders and offered his sincere condolences to the families of the fallen service members. My heart breaks at this time, but it just makes us more determined to eradicate terrorism and its ecology from the ground up, said Chugh.
