During the visit, Dr. Devansh Yadav revealed that Sheetal had received warm greetings from both the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, and the Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, for her contribution to the nation’s pride in spite of her congenital disabilities.

In addition to being a source of pride for her district, Kishtwar, and UT Jammu and Kashmir, Sheetal Devi has come to represent all of Bharat. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar pledged the district administration’s assistance to Sheetal’s family.

Together with Tehsildar Mughal Maidan, Nayeem Ahmed Sheikh, and other administration authorities, the Deputy Commissioner was joined in acknowledging and celebrating Sheetal’s incredible trip.

The incredible journey of Sheetal, who was born without hands (Phocomelia) in a small hamlet in Kishtwar, to her worldwide renown is proof of the resilience of the human spirit. She made a name for herself on the international scene when the army discovered her skill at a camp in the untamed highlands of her own country in 2019. Infrastructure for her training in Katra was also provided by the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

Sheetal Devi’s extraordinary accomplishments are an inspiration to everyone, showing that anybody can reach greatness by overcoming any difficulty with perseverance and assistance.
