More than 2.30 lakh patients, he said, have already used this service.

The Secretary said that “108 has also played a key role during the pandemic.” “108 ambulance services were utilised by a total of 12,110 COVID-19 positive patients during the pandemic.”

Kumar urged people to use the 108 services, stating that these ambulances were fully furnished with life-saving equipment and ensured patient safety in addition to receiving superior medical attention.

He urged the public to phone the 108 toll-free number in case of an emergency so that a patient may be transported to the closest hospital, which would be far better than doing so in a private vehicle.

The Secretary commended 108 Services for creating a magazine and said that the publication of the magazine will hopefully raise public knowledge of 108 Ambulance Services.

The Secretary said that 139 of the 203 ambulances have modern life support systems, including ventilators, automated external defibrillators, oxygen support, and fully qualified paramedical personnel, allowing for improved patient care.

The 887 deliveries that were successfully carried out by the 108 EMTs on the scene and in the ambulance total 887.

531 Amarnath Yatris received support from 108 ambulance services while on the present Amarnathji Yatra.
