Majid Hyderi is detained by police on suspicion of extortion and criminal conspiracy

Sept. 15, Srinagar: According to authorities, Majid Hyderi was detained by the Srinagar Police for “criminal conspiracy, intimidation, extortion, giving false information, defamation, etc.”

According to a post by the Srinagar Police on X (previously Twitter), Hyderi was detained according to FIR No. 88/2023 U/S 120-B, 177,386,500 of the IPC, which was filed at Sadder PS on the basis of an order from the JMIC Srinagar’s honourable court.

In the post, it was said that “One Majid Hyderi S/o Jahangir Hyderi R/o Peerbagh arrested for criminal conspiracy, intimidation, extortion, giving false information, defamation, etc.”
