Man detained after stabbing a young person at an Eidgah

A single suspect was detained after a youth in the city’s Eidgah neighbourhood was stabbed. The offending weapon has also been found by the police.

“One suspect, identified as Kaiser Ahmad Bhat (age 28), son of Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, was detained for stabbing a young person with a knife in the Eidgah neighbourhood. The accused has a history of throwing stones. Additionally, a criminal weapon has been found. FIR no. 99/2023 under sections 323, 341, and 307 of the IPC at Safakadal PS., the Srinagar Police tweeted.
