The accused submitted a forged birth certificate to the Royal Springs Gold Course in Srinagar, according to a chargesheet filed by Crime Branch Kashmir on August 10.

Case FIR No. 57/2022 against Mohammad Sidiq Qazi, S/o Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Qazi, of Brein Nishat, was filed before thec ourt of Judge Small Causes Srinagar for his alleged involvement in offences punishable under Sections 420, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code, according to a statement issued to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

According to the statement, the brief facts of the case are as follows: employees at the Royal Springs Golf Course (RSGC) in Srinagar complained to Crime Branch Kashmir that the barman working there, Mohammad Sidiq Qazi, is actually 67 years old and is still employed there.

Accordingly, the current Case was lodged at PS Crime Branch Kashmir in 2022 and investigation commenced.

It states that the accused person’s prolonged employment after his lawful retirement age had passed was the consequence of his having filed a false date of birth certificate at the time of his original appointment.

So, “the chargesheet has accordingly been presented against the accused person in the court of competent jurisdiction for judicial determination,” it said (KNO).
