According to Mandaviya, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched a countrywide healthcare campaign with the goal of providing healthcare services to every city and hamlet in the country.

He said that the Ayushman Bharat programme laid the groundwork for this new endeavour, which he called a “paradigm shift” in healthcare delivery.

“The campaign that will be executed during the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ from September 17 (coincident with Prime Minister Modi’s birthday) to October 2 represents a whole-of-nation and whole-of-society approach. When it comes to health care, “it unites government sectors, civil society organisations, and communities under a common mission to ensure that every individual receives essential health services without any disparity or exclusion,” as stated by Mandaviya.

More specifically, he said, “The campaign is a collaborative effort spearheaded by Gramme Panchayats in coordination with the Department of Health, other government departments, and local elected bodies in the rural and urban areas.” Its primary goal is to eliminate geographical obstacles to access to healthcare so that no one, regardless of where they live, goes without.

With its three pillars, “this synergistic approach seeks to saturate coverage of health services.” Ayushman – Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Melas in HWCs and CHCs, and Ayushman Sabhas in each and every village and panchayat.

The Minister has said that the goal of Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0 is to issue Ayushman cards to the remaining eligible beneficiaries enrolled in the PMJAY plan.

Blood and organ donation efforts, Mandaviya said, would be held at this time.

The Minister further shared that on Tuesday he had a virtual meeting with the Health Ministers and top officials of the States and UTs to assess progress towards the Ayushman Bhav campaign’s start.
